Position Summary:

Duties are performed under the general supervision of the AVP in accordance with established Credit Union lending policies. This position helps in the turn-key coordination of all mortgage loan files. It is a position of support to the loan department. The expectations of this job are to build member relationships by providing excellent service and offering products that meet member's needs post-closing.


Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; bachelors' degree is preferred. Courses in Real Estate, appraising, mortgage banking and communications would be extremely helpful.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for compliance to all BSA policies, procedures and regulations within area of responsibility.
  • Order, process and review all loan file documentation, i.e. appraisal, title commitment, verifications of employment, deposits, etc. for accuracy and completeness.
  • Review each loan for compliance with all regulatory and investor guidelines.
  • Review new loan files on daily basis for accuracy input from origination staff.
  • Maintain data integrity of system data fields.
  • Maintain customer service satisfaction level of 95% or higher.
  • Participate in all required training sessions to increase knowledge and ensure compliance with all regulatory and investor requirements.
  • Maintain adequate control of files to ensure compliance with all consumer protection statutes/ regulations in a defined area of responsibility.
  • Implement Bank directed policy and any changes relating to regulatory amendments.
  • Work with Residential Lenders on pipeline maintenance on weekly basis to ensure pipeline integrity.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and display positive attitude at all times.
  • Obtain "satisfactory" ratings on all compliance/ audit reviews.

Opener

  • Monitors group email for incoming new loans and preliminary disclosure requests.
  • Review information entered in origination system is complete and verify all fees are accurately disclosed on the Loan Estimate.
  • Price and lock rates for Secondary Market loans for mortgage loan originators.
  • Accurately prepare all preliminary disclosures based on product requested for new loans and email to mortgage lenders.

Post Closer

  • Sell and deliver closed loans to Freddie Mac before rate lock expiration date.
  • Ensure all required documentation is included in final loan for booking.

Standards of Performance:

Accuracy and timeliness are critical in providing audit support for the department. The position also requires that the employee communicate with senior management and internal auditors on a regular basis to discuss any material findings are items of concern. Confidentiality is a must for this position. Must support the Credit Union's quality service philosophy to membership and staff alike.
